What we collect when you use this website or buy from it, why we need it, who receives it, and what you can ask us to do.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is JEDA IT HUB LIMITED, 49 Elmeley, Golf Links Road, Bettystown, A92 R7RF, Ireland. You can reach us at hello@jedaithublimited.eu, through the contact form, or in the chat. Full company details are in the Terms.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not profile you, and no decision about you is taken by automated means. We set no analytics or advertising cookies.

What we collect, why, and for how long

Checkout

At checkout we ask for your name, email address, company name and VAT number (if you buy for a business), and your billing address. We collect these ourselves and pass them to our payment service provider so that it can take the payment and work out the tax. Card details are typed on the payment provider’s page; we never see or store them.

Purpose: to sell you a licence and deliver it to your email address. Legal basis: performing the contract with you.

Order records

We keep a record of each order: the reference, what you bought, the amounts, and the details you gave at checkout. It is shown to you on your order page, which is reached by a link that only you receive; please keep that link private. Purpose: to deliver and support your purchase and to meet our accounting and tax duties. Legal basis: performing the contract, and our legal obligations. We keep order records for as long as accounting and tax law requires.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form we receive your name, email address, the topic and your message, and the page you wrote from. Purpose: to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before a purchase. We keep a message for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, and we delete it if you ask us to.

Support chat

If you use the chat we receive your messages, any file you attach, the email address if you choose to give one, and the page you were on. A random identifier in a cookie links your browser to your conversation (see Cookies). Purpose: to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before a purchase. Conversations and files are kept on our server and deleted 365 days after the last message.

Visit log

Every request to this website is recorded in a log with the time, your IP address, the country that IP address belongs to, the page requested, the page you came from, and your browser. Purpose: security and fraud protection. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website and its buyers safe. We keep the log for 90 days and then delete it. The log sets no cookies and is not used for analytics or advertising.

Remember my details

At checkout you can tick a box to save your details in your browser for next time. If you do, they are stored in a cookie on your device for 180 days and sent back to this website when you open checkout. Legal basis: your consent. You can delete them at any time with Forget saved details.

Who receives your data

We do not sell personal data. We share it with these categories of provider, only as far as they need it:

  • Payment service provider. Takes the payment as merchant of record, calculates tax, and receives the checkout details described above.
  • Hosting provider. Runs the servers where this website, order records, contact messages, chat conversations and the visit log are stored.
  • IP location service. Receives an IP address from the visit log and returns the country it belongs to.
  • Content delivery networks. Serve the fonts, photographs and payment-method icons on this website. They see your IP address and browser details when your browser asks for those files.
  • Email provider. Carries the emails we send and receive, such as access details and replies to your messages.

Authorities may receive data where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer relies on safeguards recognised under data protection law, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
  • have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
  • have your data erased, where we have no good reason to keep it (erasure);
  • ask us to restrict how we use it (restriction);
  • receive the data you gave us in a common format (portability);
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • withdraw consent at any time, for example for the remember-my-details cookie, without affecting what happened before.

To use any of them, write to hello@jedaithublimited.eu. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie), or to the supervisory authority in the country where you live.

Changes to this page

If we change how we use personal data we will update this page and its date. The date at the top shows the latest version.
